Information Titel der Veranstaltung European Methodist Lecture Program (EMLP): Climate Justice? Theological, Spiritual, Political and Practical Dimensions Kursnummer(n) 141g | 242g Semester Wintersemester 2025/26 Dozent:in/Trainer:in Stephan von Twardowski Studienjahrgänge B1 B2 B3 M1 M2 Semesterwochenstunden 2 Credits (ECTS) 2.00 Beschreibung In this 5th series of the European Methodist Lecture Program (EMLP) we explore the theological, spiritual, political and practical dimensions of the evolving climate crisis. The series is designed to enable ministry practitioners in Europe to reflect on the mission and ministry of the church in the light of the global implications of climate change and to engage with the big theological and spiritual questions that concern what it means to be human in relation to an increasingly volatile natural world; what it means to be justice-seeking in the context of uneven climate change resilience; and what we think God’s purposes are for creation. In an online format (video conference) lecturers from various countries, Methodist traditions, theological expertise and ecumenical contexts will give their insights and present their perspectives and research on “Climate Justice? Theological, Spiritual, Political and Practical Dimensions”. The European Methodist Lecture Program brings together students, theologians, clergy and lay persons from all over Europe and beyond from different backgrounds and cultures. It offers a learning space on intercultural and international level. The language of the lectures and for the discussion is English.
